Trad on the Prom
Trad on the Promí is a contemporary Irish show featuring an electrifying mix of music song and dance. Trad on the Prom showcases the amazing talents of Mairin Fahy, featured soloist with ëRiverdanceí and ëThe Chieftainsí. Mairin is joined by Chris Kelly and her world class band along with professional dancers from ëLord of the Danceí and ëRiverdanceí. From May through to the end of September.
Town Hall Theatre
The Theatre presents a 52-week programme covering all the performance arts including theatre, concerts, musicals, opera, ballet and film. Among the major Theatre companies which have performed at the Theatre in its first two years are Druid, the Abbey and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Tara - A Taste of Ireland
Enjoy the rustic 'Ould world ambience' of one of the City Centre's largest dining venues; with stonewalls and archways, candlelight and a cozy open fire. Live shows nightly, between 8 - 10:30pm; offer a range of entertainment from Irish traditional music, dance and comedy to an Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. These comedic productions are take offs on historical or literary events that have taken place throughout the centuries in this wonderful land of 'Saints and Scholars'.
Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe
Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe, also referred to as An Taibhdhearc, is the national Irish language theatre of Ireland. It was founded in 1928. The building itself is built on the ruins of the city's original Augustinian friary. The rear wall incorporates a wall from this friary, including some carved stone window frames. With its location on Middle Street the Taibhdhearc is situated in the heart of the mediaeval Galway. The theatre regularly features musicals, opera and drama. Many luminaries have appeared at the Taibhdhearc, including playwright and novelist Walter Macken, poet M·irtin ” Dire·in, distinguished actress Siobh·n McKenna and actor Se·n McClory. Black Box
The Black Box is a large venue for concerts, exhibitions, theatre, clubbing, comedy and much more. Ticket office is located in the Town Hall Theatre.
